coversm.gif July 1, 2008 from press release Road Race Management, Inc. has announced a new publication that emanated from its recent workshop, How Green Is My Event? The Road Race Management Guide to Greener Running Events will chronicle many of the good ideas and good work being done to make running events more environmentally responsible.

This handy booklet, published in cooperation with Electric City Printing, will provide more than just an inventory of the green things that 30 different running events are doing. The Guide to Greener Running Events also looks at the potential for green certification, presents a summary of race directors thoughts and opinions about the environmental impact of their events, and offers a useful green guide to sponsors and vendors.

The Green Guide is aimed at the many race directors who appreciate the fact that their event could do more to reduce its environmental impact but arent sure how to accomplish that. This booklet provides the perfect starter kit. At the same time, those who think their events are on the cutting edge of environmental responsibility can compare how they measure up to some of the industry leaders.
