One of the neatest events is the Continental Airlines Friendship Run. It begins at the United Nations building on 1st Avenue and winds around a bit before it heads up 5th Avenue to finish at the 26 mile marker of the marathon. It is a great event that bring out costumes of the different nationalities that run the race.
