Brian Sell won the 31 edition of the Fifth Third River Bank Run, holding off a strong field. This is the third time he has won the USA 25K National Championship, but the first time he has won the event. Wellay Weldglyorges finished second. On the women's side, Caroline Chepakorir won with a fine 1:29:32. Paige Higgins, of Colorado, won the women's USA 25K National Championship, with her effort.
