The Detroit Free Press/Flagstar Marathon was 30 years old in 2007. Here race director Pat Ball, and Motor City Striders President, Ed Kozloff, talk about the past 30 years. The marathon is unique in that you start in the U.S. cross the Canadian border over the Ambassador Bridge, run in Canada for a few kilometers, and then reenter the states vis the Detroit-Windsor tunnel

2005 ING Edmonton Marathon - Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

The 2005 ING Edmonton Marathon and the other distances within the event were a blast. Edmonton, is a terrific Canadian city, with the spectacular Banff area not far from there. It is also the home of John Stanton, the owner of the Running Room, one of the biggest running chains in North America.

2005 Park City Marathon - Park City, Utah

This was originally called the Mid Mountain Marathon and became the Park City Marathon in its second year. It is a great course, mid way up the various mountains that create the numerous ski resorts in Park City

2006 Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon- Toronto, Ontario, Canada

This is the 2006 Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon, which by its name is held on a beautiful course with looks at Lake Erie on one side and the spectacular Toronto skyline on the other. This is a marathon on a mission and that is to be one of the great marathons in the world. Race director Alan Brookes is working hard to make that happen. His goal in 2008 is a 2:08.

2007 Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon - Cleveland, Ohio

This is the start of the 2007 Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon. The race just completed its siver anniversary. It is a class event, that features a marathon, half marathon and a highly competitive 10K. The course shows off the great city of Cleveland, with its Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Jacobs Field and wonderful parks.

2006 Grand Island Marathon - Grand Island, Michigan

The Grand Island Marathon is relatively young, but has gained recognition from Runner's World, the Michigan Runner and a slew of other runnng related content providers. Runners take a ferry to the island and then run around it, through it and on top of it. A great get away marathon.

2007 ING New York City Marathon- New York, New York

We had our cameras in Brooklyn at about the eleven mile mark as thousands of happy runners ran by. Our crew was there to mainly cover the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials for Men, the day before, but were able to grab some footage where we were staying in Brooklyn. We caught some nice shots of runners and some guy beating on a mean tune on a piano.

2008 Walt Disney World Marathon - Orlando, Florida

Creigh Kelley, supplied the talent as he interduced the winners of the 2008 Walt Disney World Marathon, Jennie McCafferty also supplied some interviews of the race. Our cameras caught the finish line and also a couple of locations on the course.

2007 Boyne 2 Boyne Marathon, Boyne Falls, Michigan

This was the first Boyne 2 Boyne Marathon and it got off to a great start. Boyne USA has a variety of ski and golf resorts in the U.S. and Canada. This was their first marathon and it connected two of their Michigan resorts , Boyne Highlands, where the race started and Boyne Mountain, where it ended. It is a picturesque and demanding course, that gives the runner some great views of Lake Michigan. http://boyne.com
