LOS ANGELES - (February 18, 2010) - The 2010 Honda LA Marathon presented by K-Swiss is all about competition, so why not extend that to an iconic 25th LA Marathon t-shirt?
From a field of 262 entries, five finalists have been selected in the Honda LA Marathon presented by K-Swiss t-shirt design competition, with public on-line voting open through Friday, February 26. All the finalists are in some area of the graphic design field from collateral materials, to websites, to architecture, and from photography to advertising and signage. The finalists are:
* Paul Jacober, Miami, Florida
* Muhammad Shontana, West Java, Bogor, Indonesia
* Tarlea Florian Sorin, Bucharest, Romania
* Roland Jonda, Weinheim, Germany
* Mike Hoffman, Grand Cayman
Voting is being done online at https://99designs.wufoo.com/forms/vote-for-your-favorite-la-marathon-tshirt. There is no registration required and voting is free.
"Recognizing that the 2010 event would be our 25th anniversary race, with a new Stadium to the Sea course and to showcase our international field, we wanted to give the global creative community a chance to design the shirt that will be available for purchase by everyone," said Peter Abraham, creative director of LA MARATHON LLC. "We are encouraging everyone to vote by the Friday, February 26 deadline."
The winner's design will be printed and merchandised at the race, plus will receive a $295 cash prize for his or her design. The contest required artists to submit a high-resolution design that included the Honda LA Marathon presented by K-Swiss logo, fit into a 12-inch-square area and used Pantone-standard colors.
